Our commitment to innovation and excellence has earned us a reputation as a leader in the industry, and we are constantly seeking talented individuals who share our passion for creativity and technical excellence. **The Role** As a Full Stack Data Engineer at blithequark, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of our data solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy scalable and efficient data pipelines. You will be responsible for: * Designing and developing data warehouses and data lakes using Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, and other cloud-based technologies * Building ETL pipelines and data processing workflows using Python, Scala, and other programming languages * Collaborating with data scientists, data analysts, and other stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions * Ensuring high-quality data and data governance through detailed documentation and regular data quality checks * Participating in agile development methodologies and contributing to the improvement of our development processes **Key Responsibilities** * Design and develop data warehouses and data lakes using Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, and other cloud-based technologies * Build ETL pipelines and data processing workflows using Python, Scala, and other programming languages * Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, and other stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions * Ensure high-quality data and data governance through detailed documentation and regular data quality checks * Participate in agile development methodologies and contribute to the improvement of our development processes * Develop and maintain data models and data structures for the data warehouse and data lake * Collaborate with data architects and data engineers to design and implement data pipelines and data processing workflows * Ensure compliance with data governance and data security policies and procedures **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field * 5+ years of experience in data engineering and data architecture * Strong knowledge of data warehousing and data lake technologies, including Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, and other cloud-based technologies * Experience with ETL pipelines and data processing workflows using Python, Scala, and other programming languages * Strong understanding of data governance and data security policies and procedures * Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git) * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field * 8+ years of experience in data engineering and data architecture * Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform * Experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases * Experience with data science and machine learning technologies, including Python, R, and SQL * Experience with data visualization tools, including Tableau, Power BI, and D3.js * Experience with DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines **Skills and Competencies** * Strong technical skills in data engineering and data architecture * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects * Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality data and data governance * Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git) * Strong understanding of data governance and data security policies and procedures **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
