About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Entry Specialist to join our DPS team, working remotely on a part-time basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the streaming business with AI and statistical modeling, focused on understanding and predicting subscriber behavior. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts, leveraging your skills and expertise to drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the streaming business with AI and statistical modeling, focused on understanding and predicting subscriber behavior, including churn, upgrade/downgrade, cost responsiveness, customer segmentation, survival analysis, A/B testing, and causal inference.
  • Create and implement innovative AI strategies to address key business questions, while identifying new areas to explore.
  • Drive experimentation to assess the impact of your models and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the organization to identify and capitalize on opportunities, working with other data teams to enhance platform capabilities around data modeling, data representation, experimentation, and data design.
  • Present your findings and recommendations to senior leaders, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.

Essential Capabilities

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential capabilities:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics, or Statistics.
  • At least 3 years of experience designing, building, and evaluating effective AI solutions.
  • Strong coding experience in one or more data programming languages, such as Python/R, with additional experience in scientific libraries like NumPy, Pandas, or similar libraries.
  • Ability to analyze data and create ML models using Python, with experience in ML frameworks like TensorFlow, scikit-learn, etc.
  • Strong foundation in statistical modeling: regression, clustering, time series estimation, causal inference, and other methods.
  • Experience creating flexible numerical models and solving complex quantitative problems that can be understood by non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to extract insights and recommendations from data to inform model development and business decisions.
  • Strong understanding of SQL.

Preferred Capabilities

In addition to the essential capabilities, the following preferred capabilities would be highly desirable:

  • Postgraduate education in a quantitative field.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a high level of data literacy.
  • Demonstrated expertise in selecting the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with data platforms and applications like Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Wind current, and GitHub.
  • Experience with designing and analyzing A/B testing and other experimentation types.
  • Experience thinking critically to interpret market and customer data, ideally about a subscription service.
  • Experience with distributed data technologies (Hive, Hadoop).
  • Experience with NLP and NN models.
