Analyst - Payments
About the position
Responsibilities
• Manage customer payments and payment applications.
• Research and resolve issues related to unapplied and misapplied payments.
• Handle escalations of customer requests regarding payment issues.
• Utilize various systems and subledgers for payment application research.
• Assist in developing solutions to payment problems and testing system enhancements.
• Document process changes to improve operational quality and efficiency.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.
• Understanding of payment types (check, ACH, EDI, Credit Card, etc.) and their rules.
• Competent knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products and financial systems.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a group in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-haves
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• Understanding and/or working knowledge of Verizon billing and payment systems.
• Experience in the payment industry.
