Job Description:

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused IT Support Associate II to join our team in California. As the first point of contact for technical support service requests, you will respond to inbound chats, calls, and online inquiries from Amazon corporate and its partners worldwide. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, resolve, and respond to inquiries received promptly, following organizational guidelines
  • Diagnose and resolve end-user computer problems, including diagnosing the issue, identifying appropriate resources, testing recommended fixes, and following up to ensure the problem is resolved
  • Create and submit detailed call logs that document customer interactions accurately, completely, and relevantly
  • Communicate important repairs to the client and answer basic questions
  • Ensure the client understands and is satisfied with the work done
  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) using effective knowledge management
  • Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies necessary to provide users with the right technical solutions
  • Participate in the shutdown and escalation program of any system or network shutdown to minimize downtime
  • Assist with remote support of teleconferencing systems and AV presentation equipment

Eligibility Criteria:

  • 1+ years of industry experience supporting Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent diploma
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer-related field (preferred)
  • Microsoft MCSE, MCITP (Certificate of Invention), or A+ System Administrator Certification (preferred)
  • Ability to troubleshoot Microsoft Office and hardware issues
  • Basic network and AV experience (preferred)
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting complex systems
  • Ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms
