As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Designing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems, including layout, installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of complicated electrical equipment and circuits.
- Analyzing and troubleshooting electrical malfunctions in equipment and related components, diagnosing and correcting problems quickly to avoid production delays.
- Performing electrical preventative and corrective maintenance on all plant equipment, promoting teamwork and collaboration with other departments.
- Participating in continuous improvement activities, reading and interpreting drawings and wiring schematics, and demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate in Electrical trade or six (6) years of documented experience as an Electrician.
- The ability to satisfactorily complete the General Motors hiring process requirements, including comprehensive assessments, hair drug testing, and a background check.
- At least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
- Willingness to work flexible shift hours, including day, afternoon, or night shifts, as well as overtime hours daily, weekends, and holidays.
