Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students in the lunchroom, on the playground, and in the halls/corridors to ensure their safety and well-being
• Guide students in developing desirable social skills and habits, and encourage healthy attitudes and good behavior
• Maintain school rules and discipline, and report any incidents or concerns to the teacher and/or principal
• Inspect playground equipment regularly and report any safety concerns
• Respond promptly to student safety complaints and provide first aid when necessary
• Collaborate with staff, students, and the community to create a positive and inclusive environment

Requirements:

• GED or high school diploma preferred
• Experience working with children and a desire to continue doing so
• Positive leadership skills and a patient, friendly demeanor
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow oral and written directions
• Physical ability to lift 40 pounds and move quickly around the playground
