Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) professional to join our team on a full-time, remote contract basis. As an LCA Analyst, you will work closely with our client, a global leader in sustainability, to contribute to high-impact projects and drive environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive life cycle assessments (LCA) for sustainability projects across various industries, analyzing operational and supply chain data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed LCA models, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and methodologies, including ISO 14040, 14044, and ILCD.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, data science, and software development, to drive and implement sustainability initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impacts, providing actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD in industrial ecology, environmental engineering, or a sustainability-related field. A Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience will also be considered.
  • Expertise in computational LCA, including co-product allocation, data normalization, and impact computations.
  • Proven experience in life cycle inventory development and data collection methods.
  • Strong experience with LCA impact assessment methods, including spatially explicit models.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Nice to Have:

  • Project management experience or training.
  • Experience with hybrid LCA models.
  • Knowledge of life cycle inventory database development and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with GIS and spatial analytics.
  • Programming experience (R, Python, SQL).
  • Data visualization skills (e.g., PowerBI).
