Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll Specialist to join our team at Catawba Hospital, a 110-bed psychiatric healthcare facility located in the beautiful mountainous region of Roanoke County. As a key member of our fiscal team, you will be responsible for supporting payroll and timekeeping functions, performing various data entry duties, and providing exceptional support to our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data entry duties, including keying batches in Cardinal HCM, keying information on spreadsheets, and keying in Kronos timekeeping system
  • Assist with filing and organizing duties for Payroll and Timekeeping
  • Provide support to employees with accessing Kronos and Cardinal HCM
  • Maintain accurate and timely payroll records
  • Collaborate with the fiscal team to ensure seamless payroll operations

Requirements:

  • Business school or accredited college/university graduate, preferably in accounting or related field
  • Documented experience in payroll, accounting, personal computers, and software applications
  • Good accounting and computation skills
  • Working knowledge of automated payroll and accounting systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with others in a professional manner
