As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and executing a comprehensive self-service roadmap that leverages AI to enhance customer interactions across multiple channels.
Position Purpose:
The Contact Center AI team is responsible for driving business profitability, increasing efficiencies, and improving customer experience through data-driven insights and solutions. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead data science initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical expertise to inform decision-making. Your expertise will help build a skilled and talented data science team, and you will have the opportunity to mentor and coach junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Development (35%): Design and develop algorithms and models to drive business insights, execute tasks with high efficiency and quality, and communicate insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management & Team Support (30%): Collaborate with project teams and business partners to determine project goals, provide direction on prioritization of work, and ensure quality of work. Mentor and coach junior team members to support their technical competencies.
- Business Collaboration (20%): Leverage business knowledge to inform solution approaches, develop trust and collaboration with internal customers and cross-functional teams, and provide education on advanced analytics to technical and non-technical business partners.
- Technical Exploration & Development (15%): Stay up-to-date with key developments in data science, participate in the continuous improvement of data science and analytics, and contribute to the development of replicable solutions and best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field
- PhD in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Math, Statistics, etc.) preferred
- Proficient in modern scripting languages (preferably Python), data querying (preferably Google BigQuery or SQL), and experience with Google DialogFlow CX
- Experience with text classification, sentiment analysis, entity recognition, and language modeling
- Hands-on experience with building and fine-tuning generative models and reinforcement learning techniques
