Medical Scribe/Medical Assistant
About the position
Responsibilities
• Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions during examinations and procedures.
• Document medical histories, physical exams, and other relevant information into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Ensure that all medical records are complete, accurate, and compliant with healthcare regulations.
• Assist healthcare providers by preparing charts and ensuring all necessary documentation is available for patient visits.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with medical staff to improve workflow efficiency and enhance patient care.
• Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and documentation standards.
Requirements
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with medical documentation practices and electronic health record systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare providers and patients.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
• A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
