PURPOSE
The Billing Support Specialist II handles more complex inquiries and serves as a knowledge resource for peers. This role requires deeper understanding of carrier billing, dispute processes, and payment workflows, with the ability to independently resolve moderate issues and mentor Level I team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Perform all duties of Specialist I with increased speed and accuracy.

  • Research and resolve moderately complex billing and payment issues.

  • Provide insight and feedback on recurring issues to inform process improvements.

  • Coach junior team members and assist in onboarding/training.

  • Proactively identify when to escalate issues or bring in specialized teams.

  • Ensure high-quality communication and service standards are consistently met.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES


  • Familiarity with carrier billing and dispute resolution processes preferred.

  • Advanced research and triage skills across multiple platforms.

  • Proven track record of meeting response time and quality goals.

  • Ability to coach and support team members effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION


  • 2–4 years in a billing, finance support, or customer-facing operations role.

  • High School diploma or equivalent
