<strong>Job Overview<br><br></strong>Join our dedicated team at Compass Health Network as a Nurse LPN/RN at our Crisis Center Stabilization Center, where you will play a crucial role in delivering both direct and indirect patient care within a psychiatric framework. Your expertise will contribute to upholding the standards of Professional Nursing Practice while working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care for individuals experiencing behavioral crises.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Deliver nursing care, including health and pain assessments, vital sign monitoring, dressing applications, and general daily care for clients presenting at the Crisis Stabilization Center.</li><li>Execute all medication administration duties, encompassing medication passes, injections, and overseeing self-administration of medications.</li><li>Manage medication records, including the Medication Administration Record (MAR), and oversee the counting of controlled substances.</li><li>Educate patients regarding their physical health and medications.</li><li>Collaborate with healthcare staff, residents, families, physicians, and pharmacists to coordinate care.</li><li>Document and report any observable changes in patients’ behavior, attitude, and physical condition.</li><li>Support staff with various diagnostic and treatment procedures.</li><li>Train new employees on procedures and protocols.</li><li>Participate in team and leadership meetings as required.</li><li>Provide direct patient care to adults, including those who may be verbally or physically agitated.</li><li>Be prepared for mandatory overtime, if required.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>Exceptional verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills.</li><li>Strong cognitive, organizational, and emotional abilities to effectively manage multiple stressors and challenging situations.</li><li>Proficiency in conducting health assessments and medication administration.</li><li>Capacity to provide educational support regarding physical health and treatments.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>An Associate’s degree in nursing is required; a Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.</li><li>A minimum of one year of psychiatric experience is required, with experience in a hospital or acute care setting being advantageous.</li><li>Valid LPN or RN license in Missouri is mandatory.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Career Growth Opportunities<br><br></strong>At Compass Health Network, we are committed to your professional development.
