Sr Executive Compensation - HR (Remote)

Are you an experienced solution professional with a passion for impactful work? Our client, located at 12555 Manchester Road, Des Peres, MO, is seeking a Sr Executive Compensation HR contractor. This role is fully remote, and offers an hourly pay rate of $72-$73. The contract will start around 02/10/25 and run until 07/11/25. Work hours are Central Time 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Role Description:

  • Manager - Exec Compensation, HR leads the firm's executive compensation initiatives to attract and retain top talent in the industry.
  • Manager - Exec Compensation, HR will lead a team, focusing on growth and development opportunities to allow for greater contribution to the firm.
  • Partner at all levels within the firm to influence executive compensation decisions, enhancements, changes, and, at times, introduction of new policies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deep understanding of Executive Compensation philosophy and practices, understanding how these items may impact other groups within the firm (e.g., HRBP, Finance, etc.).
  • Lead and/or partner with leadership in developing communication and training to improve the utilization of executive compensation tools.
  • Lead firm-wide executive compensation projects, including building timelines, providing status updates to leadership, gaining stakeholder support, and driving to completion.
  • Leads executive compensation analysis and prepares recommendations to leadership regarding the development, refinement, streamlining, and implementation of total cash compensation practices and programs.
  • Responsible for annual benchmark studies to evaluate the competitiveness of pay programs, leading to recommendations for salary structure increases and merit increase guidelines.
  • Responsible for leading a team of Compensation professionals, clearly outlining goals and expectations, while at times providing meaningful feedback for performance opportunities. Additionally, provide guidance and mentorship to other Compensation team members to ensure consistency of service to all Business Units.
  • Ensures the executive compensation area has documentation for all compensation programs and practices in the form of Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) or policy.
  • Responsible for ensuring compensation governance within their area is strictly upheld; routinely reviewing adherence to governance standards within their respective team(s).
  • Evaluate policies, practices, and processes related to compensation programs as they relate to compliance with all Federal, State, Municipal, and Provincial employment laws.
  • Consult with all levels of leadership within the firm on various compensation-related issues.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Compensation Philosophy and practices.
  • Advanced business acumen, providing a strong knowledge of the firm and financial services industry, with a focus on business practices and processes.
  • Background in conducting M&A due diligence for Human Capital, specifically executive and broad-based compensation.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred Education - Master's Degree
  • Minimum Experience - 11-14 Years

Licenses/Certifications

  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) - Preferred
