Responsibilities:
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Manage and update electronic health records (EHR)
- Assist with telemedicine consultations by gathering patient histories and vitals
- Answer patient inquiries via phone, email, or chat
- Coordinate prescription refills and medication reminders
- Handle medical billing, insurance verification, and claims processing
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Provide follow-up support and patient education
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required); Medical Assistant certification (Preferred)
- Experience: 1+ years in a medical assistant or healthcare administrative role (Remote experience is a plus)
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EHR systems, telehealth platforms, and Microsoft Office/Google Suite
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Other Requirements: Reliable internet connection, HIPAA compliance training (preferred)
