Allocation Planner
About the position
The Allocation Planner at Ross Stores plays a crucial role in supporting the company's preseason and in-season allocation strategies and initiatives for assigned regions, stores, and product areas. This position is responsible for a diverse range of assignments, projects, and analytics that evaluate overall sales performance and emerging trends. The Allocation Planner will recommend actions for in-month receipt management and provide weekly visibility of current performance and trends to leadership. Additionally, the role involves researching and responding to product-level inventory concerns from stores, ensuring that the company maintains optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand. The ideal candidate for this position should demonstrate the ability to work independently while providing sound analytics. They must be capable of drawing and communicating conclusions and recommendations effectively. Allocation Planners will work on projects and tasks that require a review of diverse factors, exercising judgment to determine appropriate actions to resolve various issues. Building productive internal and external working relationships is essential, as is developing professional knowledge and expertise in the field. The base salary range for this role is between $66,560 and $94,650, depending on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. This range is just one component of the total compensation package for employees, which may include additional rewards based on position and location.
Responsibilities
Support end of month inventory plan achievement and strategic initiatives for assigned Regions/Stores/Product areas.

Monitor region and store inventory position in relation to sales trends.

Research and respond to store inventory concerns.

Execute and maintain Excel based reports/tools.

Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.

Support on-boarding of concepts with peers.

Drive timely and effective communication with internal and external business partners to inform/recommend allocation strategies and results.

Provide weekly communication to Allocation leadership of results and inventory opportunities/risks, providing recommended action needed to support changing trends.

Communicate conclusions and recommendations in a clear, straightforward, and concise format to business partners.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
,
1-2 years equivalent work experience.
,
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Efficient verbal and written communication skills.
,
Retail Math knowledge.
,
Retail software experience, a plus (JDA or Other Allocation Software).
,
Ability to independently analyze data sets to solve problems and summarize recommendations.
