Job description: Requisition ID41442BRBusiness UnitFSUJob DescriptionSeeking highly qualified professional to lead and expand CDM Smith's existing portfolio with the U.S. Government and State Agencies nationwide. As a full-service firm, CDM Smith has been providing these services for over 30 years and holds multiple U.S. Government contract vehicles to provide consulting, planning, studies, engineering, design, and construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for growth by aligning CDM Smith's core competencies with the mission of the U.S Government and expanding our service offerings with State Agencies.**The position can be based out of any CDM Smith office, in the U.S. nationwide. We offer in office, hybrid, or remote working environments allowing for flexible work options. Preferred locations for this position would be: Maryland, Virginia, or Washington D.C.**As a Client Service Leader (CSL), you will be responsible for continued growth and diversification of the services we offer to these agencies to include consulting, planning, engineering, construction, and digital solutions. As a member of our high-performing team, you will contribute to CDM Smith's federal mission by:
- Serving as the client-facing representative by keeping attune to agency initiatives, budgeting, programming, legislation, and organizational changes.
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the Department of Homeland Security (FEMA, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) and other relevant federal and state agencies that allows CDM Smith to expand and diversify the service offerings to include consulting, planning, engineering, construction and digital solutions.
- Leading internal strategic business development efforts such as client or market strategic plans.
- Lead or participate in office meetings, capabilities presentations, webinars, etc.
- Possessing and growing an established business network (client decision-makers and teaming partners).
- Serving as capture manager for proposal efforts to include managing and communicating amongst a diverse team of technical experts and marketing professionals.
- Engaging with Program and Project Managers that will result in the delivery of quality projects that meet scope, schedule, budget and quality commitments to maintain client satisfaction.
- Maintaining awareness of federal and state marketplace related to business opportunities, including competitors, partners, and subcontractors/subconsultants.
- Contributing to firm's stature by actively participating in leadership roles in professional societies and associations.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 15 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Prior experience working for Federal Emergency Management Agency or relevant federal or state agencies or as a consultant to these entities.
- Demonstrated experience with AI or digital solutions, including but not limited to the marketing, development, implementation, or management of such technologies in a professional setting.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), American Institute of Architects (AIA) or other recognized registration.
