This role focuses on engaging adult learners and transfer students, managing the admission process, and developing outreach strategies to support enrollment growth. The Assistant Director will work closely with advising, faculty, the registrar’s office, and other university stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition for online students.This position requires strategic recruitment planning, travel to community colleges and educational fairs, and virtual engagement through webinars and digital outreach. - Recruitment and Outreach: Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies for adult learners, international, and transfer students, including outreach to community colleges, virtual events, and educational partnerships.
- Admission Counseling: Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, providing guidance on the application process, transfer credits, and program offerings.
- Application Review & Evaluation: Manage the application review process, ensuring timely and accurate evaluations; escalate applications for further review when needed; and manage additional/external file readers when required.
- Transfer Credit Coordination: Work closely with the registrar’s office to facilitate transfer credit evaluations, and ensure accurate record-keeping for incoming students.
- Data Management & Reporting: Maintain and analyze enrollment and recruitment data using CRM tools to assess outreach effectiveness and inform future strategies, with the ability to manage data updates and create reports.
- Event Planning & Execution: Organize and participate in virtual and in-person recruitment events, including community college visits, transfer fairs, and online webinars.
- Partnership Development: Build relationships with academic advisors, faculty, and community organizations to strengthen pathways into Simmons University’s online degree programs.
- Communication & Marketing Support: Collaborate with the admission and marketing teams to develop messaging and promotional materials tailored for adult and transfer student populations.
- Collaboration with Internal Departments: Serve as a liaison between admission, academic departments, student support services, student financial services and enrollment management to support student success.
- Customer Service: Demonstrate a commitment to customer service by communicating clearly, positively, and effectively in a timely manner with all constituents.
