Job description: Job Posting Title: Systems Administrator II----Hiring Department: Applied Research Laboratories----Position Open To: All Applicants----Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40----FLSA Status: Exempt----Earliest Start Date: Immediately----Position Duration: Expected to Continue----Location: PICKLE RESEARCH CAMPUS----Job Details:Purpose:To provide IT systems administration and support for Applied Research Labs (ARL) staff and departmentsResponsibilitiesWindows Desktop Support: provide technical assistance (software, hardware, and authentication issues) to users of Windows computer systems.Windows Deployment: Install, configure, deploy, and update Windows systems for users, departments, and VM farms while adhering to required security configurations.Configuration Management: routine hardware and software audits and system maintenance logs.Peripheral Support: Configure, deploy, repair, and scuttle various system peripherals such as printers, copiers, UI devices, and conference room equipment.Administer various system services within the Windows AD infrastructureRecords and Reporting: provide records of work performed and report status of system assets.Other related functions as assigned.Required QualificationsHS/GED.Two years of experience in system administration within a Windows environment.Knowledge of computer and peripheral systems, operation, and installation.Demonstrated ability to work independently without daily supervision.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information while maintaining a professional demeanor.Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele. A strong attention to detail. Regular and punctual attendance with an ability to simultaneously process multiple projects.Acquire and maintain an IAT Level II certification (Security+ or better).Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.US Citizen: Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.Preferred QualificationsAssociates or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field.At least 2 years supporting systems within a Windows environment.Strong knowledge of Microsoft software suites, Adobe applications, driver installations, and other routine tasks.
