- You will direct, coordinate, or oversee work of subordinate personnel or contractors.
- You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinate, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare work completion schedules.
- You will request, manage, and coordinate customer funding for all work.
- You will develop and submit project proposals for new CWI programs to higher authority.
- You will provide technical guidance and assistance on assigned systems.

- You may be will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Experience applying knowledge of electronic, electrical, and mechanical principles, concepts, laws, regulations, policies and precedent decisions to recognize, analyze, and solve difficult problems and make technical recommendations and decisions.
- Experience communicating effectively orally and in writing with managers, contractors, and employees at all levels to negotiate changes, resolve differences and problems.
- Experience applying knowledge in fiscal management and budgeting.
- Experience creating and executing a complete operational testing program for a system or product.
- knowledge of the techniques and theories characteristic of electronics, such as a knowledge of basic electricity and electronic theory, algebra, and elementary physics;
- knowledge of electronic equipment design, development, evaluation, testing, installation, and maintenance; and
- knowledge of the capabilities, limitations, operations, design, characteristics, and functional use of a variety of types and models of electronic equipment and systems related to, but less than, a full professional knowledge of electronic engineering.
