We are results-driven, creative solution finders and enjoy putting ourselves in our clients' shoes.The role:As our IT Administrator, you'll be the go-to tech expert on-site in Chicago, supporting our US and European offices by managing day-to-day IT operations and infrastructure. You'll handle everything from troubleshooting and maintaining hardware to ordering new equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring top-notch network and platform performance. You'll also help us prepare for and manage technology change, creating user-friendly resources, streamlining systems, and ensuring compliance with security standards like SOC 2. This is a hands-on role where your calm problem-solving, attention to detail, and curiosity for process improvement will make a big impact across the team. The successful candidate will let their passion for technology and problem-solving guide them to providing amazing technology experiences for employees.In this role you will:


  • Interact with other help desk employees as well as other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and providing technical support.

  • Manage US and European IT infrastructure, including computers, printers, and network equipment.

  • Execute technology successfully to minimize downtime and disruption.

  • Get the organization ready for technology change through presentations, surveys, and email outreach.

  • Order computers and equipment for our employees, while managing costs and inventory.

  • Fix and maintain a variety of devices to ensure optimal performance.

  • Evaluate and recommend necessary changes in performance tuning, infrastructure design, and monitoring.

  • Create and manage an organized FAQ system for our employees to use.

  • Manage our infrastructure to ensure the best-in-class security.

  • Manage a variety of technology platforms from companies such as Microsoft and Autodesk.

  • Optimize our infrastructure for speed, cost, and performance.

  • Report to our finance team administratively and a Philippine IT manager functionally.

Apply if you have:

  • 3-7 years of experience in an IT-related environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict-management skills.

  • A background working on UniFi network devices.

  • Experience supporting and using Windows-based hardware.

  • The curiosity to improve and streamline processes.

  • A calm demeanor while working in stressful situations while keeping a sense of urgency to get projects completed quickly.

  • Have worked in a SOC2 and/or ISO 27000 environment.

Even better if you have:

  • Experience working with small firms in the IT world.

  • A bachelor's degree in technology or computer science.

  • A good understanding of Autodesk applications.

Compensation and featured benefits:

  • The pay for this position is $80,000 – $85,000, and the role is eligible for bonuses. The actual salary offer may be different as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, location, and experience

  • Health insurance with the choice of five plan options. We cover 70-95% of premiums for VIATechies and 65% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plan chosen)

  • Dental and vision insurance. We cover up to 75% of the monthly insurance premiums for VIATechies and up to 50% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plans chosen)
