Job description: Alternate Locations: Radnor, PA (Pennsylvania); Fort Wayne, IN (Indiana); Greensboro, NC (North Carolina)Work Arrangement:Hybrid/Common Days+ : Work 2-3 days a week in a Lincoln office with a designated workspace.Relocation assistance: is not available for this opportunity.Requisition #: 74387The Role at a GlanceAs a Senior Analyst, you will own the separate account ledger reconciliations and audit support while managing a staff of two. You will be responsible to perform more complex research, analysis, and proper accounting treatment of the variable separate accounts to support strategic investment operations and initiatives. Finally, you will be responsible for managing daily processes needed to support our variable products, as well as some transfer agency functions for the Lincoln Variable Insurance Products Trust (LVIPT) mutual funds. This role requires oversight of staff working outside of traditional business hours.What you'll be doing
- Supporting timely and accurate daily, monthly and quarterly financial reconciliation processes for the separate accounts.
- Understanding the relationship of applicable systems and data required to account for and support separate account ledger transactions.
- Developing and maintaining control processes to ensure effective procedures are in place to support internal operating and SOX controls, working with both internal and external auditors.
- Identifying and recommending best practice opportunities to improve efficiencies as new guidelines are established
- Providing training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and giving honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent.
- Establishing and implementing individual and team priorities, performance goals and objectives.
- Managing and evaluating individual/team performance and taking appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards.
- Ensuring that top talent is hired and retained to support these responsibilities.
- Developing and maintaining a strong relationship with internal/external auditors as applicable and ensure identified issues are resolved in a collaborative manner.
- Carrying out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines. Complying with all company and site policies and procedures
- 5+ Years of experience years in accounting that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline
- CPA Certification a plus
- Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, retain, develop and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
- Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend processes improvements.
- Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially with Excel.
Expected salary: $93300 - 169700 per year
