Job description: Alternate Locations: Radnor, PA (Pennsylvania); Charlotte, NC (North Carolina); Fort Wayne, IN (Indiana); Greensboro, NC (North Carolina); Hartford, CT (Connecticut); Omaha, NE (Nebraska)Work Arrangement:Hybrid/Common Days+ : Work 2-3 days a week in a Lincoln office with a designated workspace.Relocation assistance: is not available for this opportunity.Requisition #: 74457The Role at a GlanceThis position will assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of new and existing technology solutions for the life production valuation team. S/he will aid in developing data & analytics requirements for solutions to improve data warehousing, financial reporting, reserve analytics, and various automation efforts. S/he will also develop a detailed understanding of the various administration systems, modelling systems and reporting tools to help design a long-term solution for all valuation data needs. This position provides a broad range of experiences and responsibilities, allowing for growth.What you'll be doingActuarial Process Steward
- Gain in-depth knowledge of monthly, quarterly and annual valuation production duties for GAAP, Stat and Tax for all Life products, including business valued under PBR Stat requirements and LDTI GAAP accounting standards
- Assist in maintaining and improving financial reporting controls and governance structures
- Participate in requests with auditors, consultants, and other external audiences on the topics of reserving and financial reporting methods
- Maintain existing reporting processes as new requirements arise due to financial transactions, reinsurance deals or changes in regulatory requirements
- Review existing processes looking for improvements or corrections and evaluate efficient remediation.
- Demonstrate new capabilities for improvements with proof-of-concept builds
- Partner with stakeholders including valuation and modeling actuaries and developers including IT and consulting resources to implement more efficient/robust data solutions
- Help reduce manual deliverables by transitioning to more automated solutions
- Increase transparency, efficiency, and governance of processes by maintaining robust process and production documentation
- Upskill team members with emerging technology tools
- Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science or Data Analytics or other quantitative major
- 5-7+ Years’ experience that aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
- FSA designation or ASA designation with additional years of actuarial experience.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
- Curiosity and demonstrated capability to quickly learn new concepts
- Self-starter, Innovative, Problem Solver
- Experience with SQL Server, Dataiku, Tableau, SAS, MSAccess, MSExcel, ALFA/Intergrate
Expected salary: $108501 - 195900 per year
