Job description: Location: Home-based, United States or Hybrid, Philadelphia, PA.Position Summary:With more than one million downloads and millions of end users, Cesium (now a part of Bentley) is defining the standard for 3D across industries from the construction site to the battlefield, from outer space to underground.We are in an extraordinary position and are looking for an extraordinary entrepreneurially minded software and business developer to expand our commercial business utilizing our market presence and inbound traction.This is a unique opportunity for a software developer to move into business while keeping their hands on code.Your Day-to-Day:
- One part business strategy, one part sales execution, and one part solutions architect, you will expand commercial win-win partnerships and customers with a focus on technical architecture and authentic education, not a sales playbook.
- Collaborate directly with customers and potential customers via email, the community forum, and virtual gatherings.
- Collaborate with product management on roadmap, product line strategy, and pricing.
- Represent Cesium true to our brand as an authentic authority in 3D geospatial.
- Work in a fast-paced continuous learning environment.
- This is an individual contributor role.
- This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week.
- This role requires communication with Managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and/or by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
- This role requires 15-20% travel.
- Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other
- 5+ years of JavaScript and/or C++ coding experience.
- Experience with geospatial, defense, game engine technology, or related industries.
- Mission-driven but grounded in financial reality.
- Diligence, rigor, and commitment in all aspects of your craft.
- You like the idea of not having a quarterly revenue target so you are not limited to short-term tactical actions.
- Fantastic communication in writing and in person, internally and externally.
- Experience in a customer facing role in business development or technical support is a plus.
- Exposure to Cesium ion and CesiumJS and open source is a bonus.
- BS, MS, MBA, or equivalent experience.
