Job description: Grants Review Program Manager - Department of JusticeThe Position:We are looking for eager, driven candidates with experience in people management, training, communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and analysis to guide our teams in developing impactful solutions for Federal clients at the Department of Justice. The Grants Review Program Manager is responsible for providing logistical support for administering Pre-Application Informational Sessions and Peer Reviews for ~30 federal grant programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing training, assistance, and follow up to grantees. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Organize and execute at least one (typically two) Pre-Application Informational Sessions per grant program, which may be hosted live and/or pre-recorded.
- Ensure each session includes a thorough presentation of grant program requirements and an interactive Q&A segment for attendees.
- Oversee the development and dissemination of supporting materials, including webinar recordings, transcripts, slide decks, and other reference documents.
- Collaborate with DOJ staff and other stakeholders to ensure webinar content is accurate, clear, and aligned with program objectives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of informational sessions through feedback and adjust future webinars to meet the needs of prospective applicants.
- Schedule and facilitate peer review orientations for all reviewers (virtual or in-person), covering review procedures and timelines.
- Organize peer review consensus meetings to finalize scoring and provide feedback for applicants.
- Coordinate the recruitment and management of internal and external subject matter experts as peer reviewers.
- Assign applications (typically 8–10 per reviewer) for independent evaluation and scoring, ensuring compliance with criteria.
- Oversee completion and submission of individual scoring forms and consensus documentation post-panel.
- For Hybrid and In-Person sessions, arrange meeting spaces, office support, travel, accommodations, and meals for participants in line with GSA guidelines.
- Maintain a Program Management Office in the Washington, DC metro area, staffed with qualified personnel to support all aspects of the peer review process.
- Guarantee accessibility features, including English and other language captioning, and arrange for ASL or simultaneous interpretation services as requested.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as international relations, public administration, or business administration.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pre-award grants management, preferably in a federal government setting.
- Experience facilitating large scale virtual and in-person events, using platform like Zoom Webinar.
- Experience conducting large scale trainings / webinars.
- Experience with grant management systems and databases (ie. JustGrants)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with the Department of Justice
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Knowledge of programming related to violence against women.
- Strong understanding of federal grant regulations, including 2 CFR 200.
- Certification in grants management (e.g., CPGM).
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages.
- The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
- Expected travel 0-10%; may increase based on business needs
- This is an exempt, full-time position
- This role is subject to a hybrid work schedule in the Washington D.C.
