The ideal candidate is strategically minded and collaborates closely with Sales teams, Partners, and of course, customers to exceed customerexpectations with enterprise software engagements. You will build and manage a team of senior consulting architects and project managers leveraging regional implementation resources to deliver successful, profitable enterprise engagements using Wind River projects.As a Professional Services Director at Wind River, you will drive the success of the Enterprise Services business within Wind River Professional Services.You will have the opportunity to


  • Lead a diverse global team of Project Managers, Architects and senior implementation consultants whose focus is to enable companies to be successful deploying Wind River enterprise software, specifically Wind River Cloud Platform and eLxr.

  • Engage with, drive, and close business with a global team of Account managers.

  • Develop strategies to grow the Wind River enterprise business globally through repeatable methodologies, tools, and templates.

  • Ensure that Wind River customers unlock the full business value from their software purchases based on their business outcomes and use cases.

  • Provide visibility to Executive Leadership into insights gathered from the delivery of the enterprise services business. Includes but not limited to financial reporting and important market and customer trends.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the global account team to develop proposals that culminate in a sales win but also in a successful project for both Wind River and the Customer

  • Work with your team leaders to motivate your team(s) to deliver and own excellence to Wind River's customers.

  • Drive business metrics to ensure profitability with the business group and Wind River

  • You will work closely with engineering, product management and partners from across the company to drive outcomes

  • Providing mentorship, coaching, and career development support to a globally dispersed team.



  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related majors.

  • At least 15+ years of experience working in a leadership role (preferably, within the enterprise software and services community).



  • 5+ years experience leading services teams, delivering enterprise infrastructure based projects in multiple industries.

  • Demonstrated experience working with broad cross-functional and matrixed teams.



  • Demonstrated experience working with fortune 500 customers in industry and government at at least the Director and VP level.



  • A history of success working with account managers to build strategies for a winning enterprise software business.

  • Knowledge of Project Management principles for the successful delivery of solutions to customers.

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualities and skills:

  • Strong leadership abilities, leading and working with a remote and diverse team in a collaborative environment.

  • Proven, hands-on experience with the ins and outs of VMware virtualization (vSphere, ESXi, Cloud Foundation) and/or Debian Linux systems and tools. Experience with VMware Tanzu a plus.

  • Proven experience with and understanding of enterprise production systems and their administrative roles and needs.

  • Customer facing experience with the ability to solve complex problems providing unique solutions

  • Management, leadership and governance of the end-to-end delivery processes with responsibility for the quality of pre-delivery scoping, budgets, detailed Project Plans and high-quality delivery exceeding customer expectations.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong troubleshooting ability.

  • Self-motivated individual with a high sense of responsibility.

  • Knowledge and experience in promoting, and selling solutions based on enterprise infrastructure technologies.
