Job description: Job Summary:The Regional Nurse Manager oversees and supports a team of infusion nurses across a designated geographic region, ensuring high-quality, safe, and compliant delivery of specialty pharmacy infusion services. This role combines clinical leadership, operational management, and strategic planning to drive excellence in patient care and nursing performance.Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision:
- Manage, mentor, and evaluate a regional team of home infusion nurses and clinical staff.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and support professional development.
- Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, protocols, and standards.
- Clinical Oversight:
- Oversee the delivery of infusion therapy, ensuring compliance with physician orders, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a clinical resource to nursing staff, patients, and referral sources regarding therapy management and patient care.
- Monitor and ensure appropriate documentation and adherence to best practices.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Conduct regular audits, quality assurance checks, and patient outcome reviews.
- Ensure regional compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, The Joint Commission, and state board of nursing regulations.
- Support investigation and resolution of patient complaints or adverse events.
- Operational Management:
- Collaborate with pharmacy operations, sales, and intake teams to support timely patient onboarding and service delivery.
- Manage nurse scheduling, coverage, and productivity metrics.
- Participate in budgeting, cost containment, and staffing strategies.
- Travel & Communication:
- Travel within the assigned region to meet with nurses, patients, and referral sources.
- Facilitate regular regional team meetings, virtual trainings, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current and unrestricted RN license in applicable state(s).
- CRNI® (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion)
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 2 years in home infusion or specialty pharmacy.
- Minimum32 years of nurse management or leadership experience.
- Proven ability to lead remote teams and oversee regional operations.
- Multi state responsibility preferred
- Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
