Job description: Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Support QE’s Solar’s growth through the identification & implementation of processes & procedures that scale to support multiple locations that support clients and technicians
- Assist with shipping and receiving parts and equipment
- Receive trucks, loading and unloading materials
- Record amounts of materials or items received
- Move materials off racks and place on pallets for distribution
- Gather and maintain “Bill of Materials” (BOM) for critical equipment being stored in the warehouse
- Coordinate with QE Solar personnel about orders placed to ensure proper storage and timely handling of equipment
- Ensure machinery is serviced and functional
- Identify damage, loss, or surplus of materials stored in the warehouse
- Maintain and organize the local area operating spares inventory stored in warehouse
- Maintain records of all activities and processes pertaining to the warehouse
- Coordinates with team members and third-party vendors on timely performance of duties; pickup and delivery of materials, tools and other employee equipment
- Track & maintain remote inventory levels in line with QE Solar and client requirements
- Operate various types of tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Including hand tools, generator, general office equipment, etc.
- Perform and/or coordinate facility maintenance (e.g., fire monitoring, security systems, mowing, HVAC, janitorial, plumbing, snow/ice)
- Follow all safety and security policies and procedures
- Support procurement strategies & identify efficiencies that simplify the organization
- Manage phone calls by screening, taking messages and responding to urgent requests
- Manage mail and deliveries for building occupants
- Create and maintain filing systems
- Maintain office equipment
- Assist with maintaining that the office is in good order and organized
- Prepare internal and external correspondence
- Assisting with creating labels for FedEx or UPS for outgoing shipments
- Plan and prepare for meetings and conferences including maintaining training facility schedule
- Develop presentations for internal and external audiences
- Track and report key function/department metrics as requested by manager
- Assist administrative team during emergency response situations
- Perform other assignments as necessary to support function/department objectives
