Job description: Regulatory Paralegal – Managed Care Organization (100% Remote)

Location: Remote – Open to candidates residing in the following states only: AZ, ID, NM, UT, WA

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST

Type: Temp-to-Perm

Known for its collaborative and supportive culture, this company is actively expanding its legal and regulatory teams to support national operations and continued growth.This is a 100% remote opportunity for an experienced Regulatory Paralegal to join a high-performing legal team supporting health plans across multiple states. The ideal candidate will bring a background in regulatory filings, corporate governance, and multistate healthcare compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft and prepare regulatory filings and related documentation required by federal and state agenciesSupport responses to regulatory audits, exams, and inquiriesPrepare and maintain corporate governance documents (e.g., articles, bylaws, board resolutions, operating agreements)Assist with name reservations, business licenses, fictitious name filings, and foreign qualificationsMaintain and update tracking logs for subsidiaries, officers/directors, intercompany agreements, and licensesSupport legal functions related to holding company filings and intercompany agreementsConduct legal research focused on statutes and regulations governing health maintenance organizations, holding companies, and healthcare corporationsAssist in organizing and managing legal records in electronic document storage systemsProvide administrative and research support to health plans, attorneys, M&A activities, and proposal teamsAssist with trademark management and support marketing on IP mattersCoordinate notarizations for directors and executivesMaintain a professional and collaborative relationship with regulators and internal stakeholdersRequired Qualifications5–7 years of paralegal experience, with at least 3 years in managed healthcare or a related regulatory healthcare environmentAssociate Degree or Paralegal Certificate required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, Marketplace, and multistate regulatory frameworksFamiliarity with NAIC regulations and state insurance department portalsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), Westlaw, and SharePoint. Experience with iManage and document management systems a plusExcellent organizational skills, writing ability, and attention to detailStrong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently, handle large volumes of documentation, and manage competing deadlinesPreferred AttributesExperience supporting legal, compliance, or corporate governance functions within a health plan or MCOComfortable working with remote teams and legal professionals across multiple time zonesLong-term interest in converting to a permanent role with a growing organizationIf you are a highly motivated paralegal looking to make an impact in healthcare law and compliance, we encourage you to apply today.
