You will own the process—from proposing strategic assumptions to validating rates post‑deployment—and continuously improve speed, accuracy and insight through automation and creative problem solving.What you will do
- Develop & propose renewal rate assumptions informed by experience studies, market dynamics and strategic objectives.
- Set renewal crediting rates across multiple product lines, balancing competitiveness, profitability and policyholder value.
- Implement rates in the policy administration system, partnering with IT to ensure accurate and timely deployment.
- Validate implemented rates, designing automated controls to confirm accuracy.
- Continuously streamline the renewal cycle, identifying opportunities to automate data flows, shorten turnaround times and enhance monitoring dashboards.
- Maintain & enhance analytical tools—Excel workbooks, SQL databases, Power BI Dashboard and dbt models—to support rate setting and implementation.
- Prepare and present clear insights and recommendations to actuarial, finance and executive leadership.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product Development, IT and Finance to align renewal strategy and implementation with company goals.

- 4+ years of actuarial experience in life or annuity pricing, valuation or in‑force management (renewal/crediting rate experience ideal).
- Ownership mentality. Able to lead processes from concept through execution with minimal direction.
- Creative problem solver who thrives in non‑cookie‑cutter environments.
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills
- Familiarity with dbt is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of Python for data analysis or automation is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex actuarial concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- High school diploma required.
Expected salary: $93900 - 156600 per year
