Our portfolio includes a wide array of reputable brands like Marriott, Hilton, IHG and Hyatt as well as many unique, independent, boutique and lifestyle properties and restaurants.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReview the work of the Night Audit Staff, General Cashier, Accounts Receivable and Accounts PayableReview of the daily processing of cash drops and preparation of depositsAssist with the monthly house bank audits and distributionWork to verify coding of accounts payable invoices, review the status of accounts receivables, review daily depositsAssist in the monthly account reconciliation of all balance sheet accountsAssist with research on billing issuesAssist with month-end tasks, run and electronically save standard month-end owner reportsEnsure all reports are kept in storage in compliance with the hotels established retention periodProvide clerical support to Accounting Management, when requiredPerform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectivesEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School or equivalent education requiredBachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Accounting/Finance or Business EducationOne plus (1+) years of Accounting experience preferred, preferably in a hotel environmentKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESMust be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplaceMust be able to read and write to facilitate the communication processRequires good communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust be able to apply mathematical operations to tasksMust be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, with most proficiency in ExcelMust be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsAbility to maintain compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulationsMaintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel dataPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
