Job description: Job Description:Trade Planning Lead- Albertsons Meals & Baking Solutions Operating UnitOVERVIEWThe Albertsons Meals & Baking team is seeking a Trade Planning Lead to provide our customer selling team with analytical, trade planning, and trade systems support to advance General Mills’ trade marketing strategies.You will serve as the liaison between the Albertsons Meals and Baking team and key internal stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally within General Mills to provide growth and execution against key strategies with the customer.You will be responsible for providing the direct selling team with analytic trade planning support, giving you the opportunity to influence both internally and externally. You will be a vital member of our team, and you will be responsible for the growth and development of a team of direct reports.Candidates best suited for this role will be ones who are detail-oriented, have a strong bias for action, bring strategic thought leadership, and can help in developing winning strategies with a focus on sales. The ideal candidate will also be an engaging leader who has a positive impact on the greater Albertsons team. - Gather and analyze syndicated data (e.g., from Nielsen, consumers, and/or customers) to identify opportunities to drive sales volume through distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing.
- Leverage enterprise-wide problem-solving tools and stakeholders to address business problems
- Advocate and align with the Operating Unit, Finance, and other cross-functional teams for the betterment of the Albertsons team
- Assist the field selling team to overachieve against sales targets
- Provide selling teams with support and guidance on the trade tools provided by General Mills central trade planning team
- Assist with the development of customer presentations
- Support the development of joint business plans with customers by defining opportunities, providing key information, and preparing presentation materials
- Take personal accountability and ownership for results, deeply understand consumers, deliver market-leading innovation, and prioritize what’s important
- Maintain accurate planning and spending information in the trade planning system; educate others on the importance of trade planner accuracy
- Integrate customer data and knowledge of General Mills' trade strategy to make promotion and incentive recommendations to advance General Mills' trade marketing strategies
- Evaluate trade strategies and make recommendations for the implementation of improvements
- Participate in the design of promotional programs and coordinate their implementation with key customers

- Have the desire and energy to manage and develop direct reports
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience in sales, account management, trade funding, category management, or other relevant experience
- Successful demonstration of analytical skills using various data sources (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, CPM, sales data)
- Must be proficient in software packages (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong decision-making and negotiation skills
- Experience working in matrixed/cross-functional organizations
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Open to future relocation opportunities within the sales organization
- International relocation (outside of the US) will not be considered.
Expected salary: $79500 - 119400 per year
