Job Description
Job Summary

The People of Southwest Airlines come together to deliver on our Purpose, which is to connect People to what’s important in their lives through friendly, reliable, and low-cost air travel. The Supervisor Flight Attendants support and evaluate Flight Attendants at the Baltimore (BWI) Inflight Base, focusing on performance, policy enforcement, and professional standards. They serve as the main contact for Flight Attendants at their station, supporting and answering questions related to their role.

  • Lead and coach team members using SWA talent management practices.

  • Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to inflight base employees.
  • Coach and counsel Flight Attendants on performance and conduct issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of F/A Manual, Work & Conduct Rules, and CBA.
  • Attend required leadership training sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with work rules and regulations.
  • Manage recognition and awards programs, including anniversaries and commendations.
  • Conduct performance assessments and visits to Southwest cities.
  • Maintain active requirements of a Southwest Flight Attendant.
  • Handle data entry of personal files.
  • Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Understanding of customer service principles and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and office systems.
  • Leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Proficiency in English language and communication.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience
  • Experience leading teams or individuals.
  • Understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreements and airline operations.
  • Licensing/Certification
  • Must have or obtain SWA Flight Attendant Certification.
  • Meet regulatory criteria for CREW badge and Rap Back enrollment.
  • Physical Abilities
  • Perform duties in limited space environments.
  • Communicate effectively in English.
  • Use computer and office tools efficiently.
  • Other Qualifications
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Adhere to attendance standards.
  • Pay & Benefits
  • Salary from $82,800 to $92,000 annually, depending on experience.
