Pharmacy Technician | Remote | Michigan | Contract Walker Healthforce is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a healthcare client located in Michigan. This is a contract opportunity. START DATE: ASAP Walker Healthforce Standard Perks: Weekly pay via Direct Deposit Medical, Dental, and Vision Available 401K KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Respond to provider inquiries regarding Medicare Part B drug coverage and prior authorization requirements Review, analyze, and process prior authorization requests submitted via phone, fax, or web portal Accurately enter medical authorizations into the online provider-facing web tool Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, ensuring clear explanations of PA requirements and outcomes Provide exceptional service while managing high call volumes in a fast-paced call center environment Maintain compliance with Medicare guidelines, timeframes, and internal quality standards Collaborate with internal departments to resolve escalated PA issues or coverage determinations JOB REQUIREMENTS MI Pharmacy Technician license 2-4 years of experience in Specialty and/or Retail Pharmacy with knowledge of drug names, NDC codes, therapeutic classes, and/or claims processing Experience in a high-volume provider/member call center or helpdesk environment Hands-on experience processing prior authorizations for Medicare Part B specialty medications Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, etc.) Strong knowledge of specialty prescription medications, NDC codes, and therapeutic drug classes Experience with claims processing, especially in pharmacy or medical contexts Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze written and verbal PA requests PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) Experience working in a specialty and/or retail pharmacy setting Knowledge of NOC drug pricing, Medicare Part B guidelines, and PA workflows Familiarity with pharmacy benefit systems and web-based authorization platforms 2 years of college Contact our Recruiting Team today to experience the Walker Healthforce difference!
