Customer Service Support Specialist Location: Newbury Park, CA Salary: $20-$24 per hour DOE Schedule: M-F 8AM to 5PM We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Support Specialist to join a distribution team. This role supports the General Manager, manages data, and communicates with customers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service. This is a temp to hire position with the potential to become a Customer Service Manager. Responsibilities • Create Excel spreadsheets with product data. • Update and maintain master product files. • Send invoices and shipment details promptly. • Manage product data in shipping portals. • Edit and upload images for web use. • Respond to customer and supplier inquiries. • Answer customer emails and phone inquiries. • Process returns, exchanges, and cancellations efficiently. • Handle out-of-stock notifications for orders. • Print labels and reformat addresses for shipping. • Greet visitors and ensure NDA compliance. • Perform general clerical and support tasks. • Supervise and train customer service team. • Assign tasks and balance workloads daily. • Develop and optimize customer service procedures. • Resolve escalated issues beyond staff level. • Monitor and improve departmental performance metrics. • Track and enter data for accurate billing. Requirements • Demonstrated experience working within the consumer goods field. • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including the creation and use of complex formulas. • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Familiarity with the Shopify platform is highly desirable. • A dependable team member with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; a College Degree is preferred.
