This position will cover jobs responsible for standards and controls in the business, ensuring effective design, assessment, monitoring, and execution through establishment of protocols, assessment, risk mitigation, oversight, reporting, and self-assurance activities. In this role, you will: Lead complex initiatives with broad impact which are designed to mitigate current and emerging business risk issues and concerns; act as key participant in... large-scale, cross-functional planning for the business Assess, analyze, and design complex and multi-faceted controls, protocols, and approaches with respect to risk mitigation and the control environment, including ensuring effective planning for sustainability, ongoing control adherence, reporting, measurement, technology impacts, and monitoring Make decisions in complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business’s functional area or products, operations, and regulatory environment; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; influence and lead key business partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid to senior-level managers to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk-mitigating strategies Act as liaison for the business with external parties to support timeliness, appropriate response strategy, and effectiveness of communications and materials May lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor Required Qualifications: 5+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Understanding of the regulatory environment as it applies to technology and information security. Familiar with key authoritative sources and Industry Frameworks (FFEIC IT Handbooks, NIST, COBIT, CSA, etc.) Review of new/revised authoritative sources for applicability to technology for aligned coverage areas. Facilitate discussions with key stakeholders as a Subject Matter Expert for applicable regulatory changes. Execute mapping of new/revised authoritative sources to controls and policies (where appropriate) with key stakeholders. Host review and challenge sessions for completed mappings with key stakeholders and obtain appropriate approvals. Consolidate responses and submit completed/approved mappings to IRM for load into approved system of record. Escalate identified coverage gaps through reporting routines. Author status reporting for executive leadership on high impact authoritative sources Execute monthly monitoring, reporting, and metrics for the end-to-end process. Present in monthly forums and councils, as needed. Lead key initiatives to drive overall regulatory adherence. Lead junior teammates in execution of processes, as needed. Serve as point of contact for technology-applicable authoritative sources that impact aligned coverage areas. Job Expectations: Ability to work outside of regular business hours.
