Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Data Architect and Enterprise Information Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the enterprise data model, analyzing and aligning with other business models, and defining and maintaining the data technology architecture. You will also be responsible for collaborating with data engineers on data model development, optimization, and integration, as well as participating in the development of the future state data architecture requirements, guidelines, and principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the enterprise data model, including data models, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and technical metadata
  • Understand enterprise information needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Analyze and align with other business models to ensure data consistency and integrity
  • Define and maintain the data technology architecture, including data integration, data warehouse, and business intelligence architecture
  • Collaborate with data engineers on data model development, optimization, and integration
  • Participate in the development of the future state data architecture requirements, guidelines, and principles
  • Optimize performance of queries and ELT/ETL processes, and enhance batch processes by optimizing for near real-time capabilities
  • Build high-quality data pipelines driving analytic solutions
  • Drive data platform architectural decisions and development requirements

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in data architecture and analytics, as well as excellent technical and communication skills. The essential qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology, and at least 4 years of experience in data/analytics architecture, engineering design, configuration experience, and/or related discipline
  • At least 1 year of experience in domain-specific architecture
  • Experience developing cloud-based solutions
  • Knowledge of DevOps
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
  • At least 2 years of direct management, indirect management, and/or cross-functional team management
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology
  • Advanced degree in a related field
  • Certification in data architecture or a related field
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms
  • Experience with data governance and data quality
