Job Overview
The primary purpose of this role is to perform a variety of routine-to-moderately complex clerical and data processing duties in support of the daily operations of blithequark's court system. As a Data Entry and Clerical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately entering data, managing files, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Key Responsibilities
- Data entry of adoptions and name change information, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Management of files, including checking in and out, pulling orders, and distributing files to staff and judges as requested
- Preparation, typing, processing, copying, filing, and transmitting various documents, including judgments, court orders, and other civil and criminal records
- Answering telephone calls, providing accurate information to callers, and forwarding calls to appropriate personnel as needed
- Assisting customers, receiving and responding to inquiries and requests for assistance from customers, other departments, agencies, and the public
- Performing other routine clerical work, including copying and filing documents, sending and receiving faxes, and assembling materials
- Attending staff and county meetings as required, as well as training sessions, seminars, and workshops to enhance job knowledge and skills
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented by formal training, special courses, or self-education equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education or specialized advanced training in data processing, clerical studies, or a closely related field
- Over one year and up to two years of office experience, with a strong background in data entry and clerical work
- Must possess or be able to obtain Notary Public certification and a valid state driver's license
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and judges
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in using computers and software programs designed for the court system, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in a court or legal environment, with a strong understanding of court procedures and protocols
