Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) at blithequark is a pivotal role that combines exceptional customer service skills with sales acumen to drive business growth. As a CSR, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships, capturing sales opportunities, and providing administrative support to ensure the seamless operation of our front office. Your primary goal will be to deliver an unparalleled customer experience, ensuring that every client feels valued, informed, and satisfied with our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet all walk-in customers in a professional and courteous manner, setting the tone for an exceptional customer experience.
  • Answer and direct all phone traffic with politeness, courtesy, and cheerfulness, ensuring that every call is handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Ask for the sale and/or attempt to schedule customers for an estimate, striving to achieve a closing ratio of 75% or higher.
  • Explain blithequark's repair process, including insurance claims processing, payment procedures, repair techniques, repair needs, and expected delivery dates, to ensure that customers are well-informed and confident in our services.
  • Educate customers on blithequark's CSI/NPS survey, keeping them informed about customer service, quality of repair, and on-time delivery, to foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Schedule and record appraisal and delivery appointments, maintaining accurate records and ensuring that our customers' needs are met promptly.
  • Update and maintain the store scheduler with the Office Manager, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Collect and record payment for completed repairs, performing some accounts receivable tasks as needed, and providing customers with blithequark's warranty information (5-Year and Limited Lifetime).
  • Perform follow-up sales calls on estimate quotes (unsold) within 48 hours, demonstrating our commitment to customer satisfaction and sales growth.
  • Maintain the front office and customer reception areas, ensuring that they are always clean, organized, and welcoming to our customers.
  • Attend daily release meetings, staying informed about our operations and contributing to our team's success.
  • Other duties as assigned, demonstrating your flexibility and willingness to support our team's efforts.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed as a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will need:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a retail setting, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent, with a college degree preferred, demonstrating your commitment to education and personal growth.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to relate well to a diverse customer base and build strong relationships.
  • Call center sales experience (or equivalent sales experience) preferred, with a strong understanding of sales principles and practices.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments, prioritize tasks, and manage your time effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and POS/management systems, with a strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Punctual and professional appearance, with a valid driver's license and insurable driving record, demonstrating your reliability and responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience in the automotive industry, with a strong understanding of repair processes, insurance claims, and customer service principles.
  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software, with the ability to analyze data and drive sales growth.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this role include:

  • Ability to stoop, bend, and kneel, squat, kneel, and pull, with extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping.
  • Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs), with standing, sitting, and walking required throughout the day.
  • Performing repetitive motions, with exposure to paint, fumes, and particles, dirt/dust, chemicals/toxins, varying heat/cold, intermittent noise, and other environmental factors.
