Job Summary

As a Phone and Chat Specialist with blithequark, you will be responsible for verifying the credentials of nurses who have selected healthcare facilities to work with, following up with them to confirm the validity of their credentials, and handling inbound and outbound calls to provide updates on shift availability. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, navigating multiple chat channels and accessing company and client resources to provide accurate and timely support to our customers. If you are a quick learner, able to work independently, and possess strong phone and verbal communication skills, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage large volumes of inbound and outbound calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Navigate multiple chat channels simultaneously to provide support to customers
  • Follow communication scripts when handling different topics, including credential verification and shift availability
  • Identify customers' needs, clarify information, research, and provide solutions and/or alternatives
  • Access company and client resources to accurately handle calls and provide support
  • Perform data entry and customer service skills to ensure seamless support
  • Navigate online efficiently to verify credentials and access relevant information
  • Work requests and records received for those requesting to sign up for a shift, identifying customers' needs and researching to see if requests have the necessary credentials
  • Skillfully transition between tasks without losing efficiency or composure
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance at all scheduled times, remaining available at your desk
  • Remain positive and professional in all customer interactions, providing exceptional support and service
  • Flexibility to cross-train as requested, adapting to changing needs and priorities

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 1 year of customer service or customer support experience, preferably in a call center or office environment
  • 1 year of previous call center or office background experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
  • Technical savvy, with the ability to navigate online platforms and access company and client resources
  • Previous remote work from home experience, with a dedicated workspace and reliable internet connection
  • Quick learner, able to work independently and adapt to changing priorities and needs
  • Ability to type 35 words per minute accurately, with strong phone and verbal communication skills
  • Active listening skills, with the ability to clarify information and provide solutions and/or alternatives
  • A background check applicable with state and federal laws is required, with a clean and satisfactory record

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Previous experience working in a healthcare or staffing environment, with knowledge of credential verification and shift management
  • Experience with data entry and customer service software, with the ability to learn new systems and platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and provide solutions and/or alternatives
  • Flexibility to work rotating weekends and shifts, with a willingness to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
