We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our growing team at blithequark. As a key member of our functional team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our company by accurately and efficiently entering data into our computer systems. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision will be essential in verifying the accuracy of the information before entering it. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, including reading customer and shipping orders, deciphering handwriting, and keying data into specific Microsoft Excel fields. You will also be responsible for verifying the accuracy of the data, ensuring consistency throughout the system, and reporting any errors or anomalies to your supervisor. In addition to data entry, you will perform filing, copying, and other administrative duties for about three hours per day.Key Responsibilities
- Read customer and shipping orders submitted in person, via the print catalog, and online, and decipher handwriting that can be hard to read.
- Key data into specific Microsoft Excel fields, with much of the work for online orders already done for you.
- Read and key in data from other source documents.
- Verify that the data is accurate before entering it.
- Ensure that data is consistent throughout the system.
- Report any data errors or anomalies to your supervisor.
- Keep accurate and updated logs of ongoing work.
- Perform filing, copying, and other administrative duties for about three hours per day.

Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Reading knowledge of English (about 5 to 10 percent of our orders are also in Spanish)
