Job Overview

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless transfer of confidential data from various formats into our billing software, Timeslips. Your primary responsibilities will include typing data provided by staff, verifying information through comparison and report generation, and organizing paperwork in both electronic and hard copy formats. With a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our data and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transfer confidential data from paper and/or electronic (typed) formats into billing software (Timeslips) using a keyboard, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Type in data provided directly from staff, maintaining a high level of precision and speed.
  • Verify data by comparison and generating reports, identifying and correcting any errors or discrepancies.
  • Sort and organize paperwork (electronic and hard copy) following data entry, ensuring that all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities. The following qualifications are required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, demonstrating a strong foundation in basic skills and knowledge.
  • Prior work experience in data entry, preferably in a medical, legal, or insurance claims office, although not essential.
  • Typing proficiency, with a preferred level of at least 45 words per minute (wpm) accuracy and no errors, ensuring that data is entered efficiently and accurately.
  • Some understanding of the internal processes of medical facilities and med-legal terminology, although training will be provided to support your development.
