We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our team in Sioux Falls, SD, on a 6-month contract basis. As an Operational Accounting Assistant 2, you will play a critical role in supporting our operational accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data entry processes. - Support Operational Accounting by performing moderately complex operational support tasks, including data entry, data updating, and correspondence processing.
- Proactively seek ways to improve processes and procedures, ensuring the highest level of efficiency and accuracy.
- Receive direction from supervisor and escalate non-routine questions or issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Interact with client personnel on a range of information, including customer correspondence, check status, and reissue requests.
- Process accounting entries and create customer letters, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform data entry tasks, including manual data entry or updating data in spreadsheets, with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data entry, accounting, or a related field.
- Excellent data management skills, including accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with data entry software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Certifications in accounting or bookkeeping, such as CPA or CMA.
- Experience working in a staffing or recruitment agency.
