Job Overview

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for handling inbound phone calls from customers, providing support and guidance on insurance policies, and resolving issues in a courteous and efficient manner. Your primary objectives will include:

  • Gathering and verifying customer information to ensure accurate and effective support
  • Entering data into forms and software systems with precision and attention to detail
  • Answering questions and providing clarity on insurance policies, procedures, and benefits
  • Resolving customer complaints and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Collaborating with internal teams to escalate complex issues and ensure prompt resolution

Hours of Operation and Commitment

To ensure seamless support for our clients, our hours of operation are Monday to Sunday, 4 AM - 5 PM PST. As a Remote Customer Support Representative, you will be required to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, with 5 of those hours self-scheduled on weekends. This flexible scheduling allows you to balance your work and personal life while ensuring our clients receive the support they need. The initial commitment is for 90 days, with opportunities for extension or permanent placement based on performance and business needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Previous experience in data entry, customer support, or a related field
  • High-volume call support experience, with a proven track record of handling multiple calls per hour
  • Typing speed of 45 words per minute (WPM) or higher, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to navigate multiple software systems and applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience working in the insurance industry or with insurance software platforms
  • Familiarity with CRM software, helpdesk systems, or other customer support tools
  • Basic knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and regulations

Technical Requirements and Workspace

To perform this role, you will need to meet the following technical requirements:

  • Dedicated laptop or desktop computer with Windows 10 or above (no Macs or Chromebooks)
  • Willingness to install ModSquad's security software on your computer and mobile device
  • Willingness to install AWS on your computer
  • Access to a webcam or smartphone capable of taking pictures
  • Stable broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 Mbps
  • 8 GB RAM or better, with dual monitors highly recommended
