Position Overview – Mobile Product Management Leadership (Remote)

We are seeking a Remote Senior Product Manager to own, define, and launch compelling mobile experiences for the Ring app ecosystem. In this pivotal role, you will guide a high‑performing team of product managers, partner with design, engineering, data science, and go‑to‑market professionals, and shape the roadmap that powers millions of daily interactions across devices, web, and the wider Ring community.

As the voice of the customer, you will leverage deep analytics, qualitative feedback, and market insights to craft product strategies that surprise and delight users while driving measurable business outcomes. This position reports to the Director of Mobile Product Management and will be instrumental in scaling Ring’s mobile platform as we expand into new devices, services, and global markets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Product Leadership

  • Define a clear, data‑driven product vision and multi‑year roadmap for the Ring mobile app, aligning with corporate objectives and user needs.
  • Champion best‑in‑class discovery practices—including user research, hypothesis testing, and rapid prototyping—to validate concepts before development.
  • Set quantitative and qualitative success metrics (KPIs, OKRs) and build dashboards that surface real‑time performance for stakeholders.
  • Prioritize feature backlogs using a balanced view of impact, effort, and strategic relevance, ensuring transparency across cross‑functional teams.

Team Management & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of senior and associate product managers, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and collaborative problem‑solving.
  • Facilitate regular planning cadences (sprint reviews, retrospectives, roadmap workshops) to keep the team aligned and accountable.
  • Develop and standardize high‑quality product artifacts—PRDs, user stories, journey maps—while encouraging iterative refinement.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with UX/UI designers to translate user insights into intuitive, accessible mobile interfaces that meet accessibility standards.
  • Work hand‑in‑hand with engineering leads to ensure clear, actionable requirements, manageable technical debt, and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and BI analysts to embed self‑serve analytics tools within the product team, promoting a culture of evidence‑based decision‑making.
  • Coordinate with marketing, legal, and operations partners to craft compelling product positioning, launch plans, and compliance documentation.

Customer Advocacy & Insight Generation

  • Own the end‑to‑end voice of the customer by synthesizing quantitative analytics (cohort analysis, funnel metrics) and qualitative data (surveys, support tickets, NPS).
  • Run regular product review meetings, share insights, and champion data‑driven stories that influence senior leadership decisions.
  • Identify and evangelize emerging trends in smart‑home security, mobile UX, and privacy to keep Ring ahead of the curve.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive continuous improvement of the product development lifecycle, embedding agile ceremonies, automation, and robust documentation.
  • Implement and iterate on self‑serve analytics dashboards, tracking progress against the new system and driving adoption across teams.
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and accessibility standards throughout the product lifecycle.

A Day in the Life

  • Kick off the morning with a product review meeting, present recent metrics, and capture actionable feedback for the team.
  • Spend time reviewing newly drafted PRDs, providing constructive feedback to sharpen scope and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with a cross‑functional program lead to synchronize timelines, resolve dependencies, and mitigate risks for an upcoming feature launch.
  • Design a prototype of a new analytics dashboard, pilot it with the BI team, and gather early adoption insights.
  • Touch base with design and engineering leads to ensure alignment on UI mockups and technical feasibility.
  • Dive into the latest batch of customer voice—support tickets, user interviews, and NPS comments—to surface pain points and opportunities.
  • Update the senior leadership team on progress against quarterly OKRs and share any pivots required based on market shifts.

Essential Qualifications (Must‑Have)

  • 5+ years of hands‑on product management experience delivering mobile applications at scale, preferably within consumer‑facing or IoT domains.
  • Demonstrated success in owning product lifecycle from concept through launch, with measurable impact on user engagement and revenue.

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor cross‑functional teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to influence senior leaders, articulate product vision, and synthesize technical details for non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience navigating agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and driving continuous delivery in fast‑paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice‑to‑Have)

  • Prior experience at a consumer‑tech company, preferably in the smart‑home or security space.
  • Hands‑on familiarity with product analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Looker) and building self‑serve reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of privacy, security, and accessibility regulations (GDPR, CCPA, WCAG) as they apply to mobile experiences.
  • Track record of delivering products on extremely tight timelines while maintaining high quality and user satisfaction.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS) or relevant certifications (CSPO, Pragmatic Marketing).
