Job Overview

In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work on a 12-hour night shift (5:50 pm - 6:00 am) in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a competitive pay rate of $18.50/hour plus a $1.20/hour shift premium. As a Night Shift Associate Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for operating various industrial film manufacturing and processing equipment, preparing chemical solutions, monitoring chemical processes, and ensuring the highest quality of products. Your exceptional technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment will be essential in driving success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain various types of industrial film manufacturing and processing equipment, including extruders, laminators, ovens, deplyers, slitters, coaters, mixers, and core slabbers.
  • Prepare chemical solutions and monitor chemical processes to ensure the quality of products meets standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot production problems or malfunctioning instruments to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
  • Practice excellent safety and environmentally sound habits, adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with facility standards and regulations.
  • Perform routine optical inspection and product quality tests according to written specifications and standards.
  • Maintain accurate logbook entries of key process and equipment events, providing in-depth observations to process and development engineers as required.
  • Clean assigned production equipment and perform operator-level preventive maintenance tasks, such as changing filters and checking fluid levels.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other groups within the Celgard organization, acting as a communication link with other departments when assigned.
  • Maintain training and cross-training proficiencies as required to ensure compliance in execution of daily activities and departmental expectations.
  • Train others (new and current employees) as needed, sharing knowledge and expertise to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of industry experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar environment required.
  • Good attendance and safety records, demonstrating a commitment to responsible and reliable work practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and set up/operate multiple machines, with a strong understanding of industrial equipment and processes.
  • Must have a stellar work ethic and the demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, with a strong focus on collaboration and mutual support.
  • Computer skills and the ability to learn different software programs and scanners, with a willingness to adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge, with a strong capacity for analytical thinking and problem-solving.

  • Experience working in a clean room environment, with a strong understanding of climate control and contamination prevention measures.
  • Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) regulations and quality control procedures, with a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of product quality and safety.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with proven experience in working with cross-functional teams, programs, or projects, and a ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
