About the Role

We're seeking professional and motivated candidates who can work effectively in a remote setting, both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will possess the top four qualifications: reliability, a positive attitude, excellent listening skills, and the ability to solve problems efficiently. As an Inbound Energy Customer Care Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that will challenge you daily and provide opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering phone calls from customers in a professional and courteous manner, responding to inquiries and complaints in a timely and effective way.
  • Focusing on customer retention by providing exceptional service, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Communicating the organization's service standards to customers, ensuring they understand our commitment to excellence.
  • Identifying, escalating, and reporting priority issues to high-level management, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing customer dissatisfaction.
  • Routing inbound calls to the appropriate resources, ensuring customers receive the support they need.
  • Following up on complicated customer calls, providing updates and ensuring issues are fully resolved.
  • Completing call notes and call reports as necessary, updating them in our CRM system to maintain accurate records.
  • Obtaining and evaluating relevant data to properly handle and document complaints and inquiries, ensuring we continuously improve our services.
  • Recording details of comments, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken, maintaining a comprehensive record of customer interactions.
  • Performing other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED, demonstrating a foundation in education and a commitment to learning.
  • Bilingual skills, which are considered a plus, allowing you to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.
  • Some sales and customer service experience, providing a solid understanding of customer needs and expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication with proper grammar, enabling you to articulate complex ideas and resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and our CRM system, allowing you to navigate our technology infrastructure with ease.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple customer interactions simultaneously.
  • Some experience with MS Excel, which is considered a plus, enabling you to analyze data and provide insights that inform our customer service strategies.
  • The ability to react effectively and calmly in escalated situations, remaining composed under pressure and providing solutions that de-escalate conflicts.
