About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our innovation office, you will have the opportunity to work with various groups, including Air Tasks, Client and Business, Framework and Services, People, and Finance. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy and quality of our data, which is essential for informing business decisions and driving operational excellence.

Foundation

Our Quality Management Office (QMO) is responsible for ensuring the quality of the applications used by our teams, including airline stewards and pilots. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will work closely with our QMO team to test applications, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback to our development teams. You will also be responsible for tracking metrics and reporting progress to our management team.

Client and Business

Our Southwest Getaways (SWAV) team is focused on developing new, revenue-generating products for blithequark beyond our core air product. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with this team to develop and implement new products and services that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will also gain valuable insights into the air travel and tourism industries, which will help you develop a deeper understanding of our business and identify areas for growth and improvement.

Responsibilities and Duties

The responsibilities and duties of the Data Entry Specialist may include but are not limited to:

  • Working with business clients to conduct requirements analysis related to systems and business processes to develop quality technical solutions
  • Ensuring solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business processes, and conform to departmental standards
  • Managing timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementing to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget
  • Serving as a resource to ensure effective communications among business and Innovation Teams
  • Participating in systems and acceptance testing
  • Scope of work varies depending on the team assignment

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Basic knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement preferred
  • Basic knowledge of technical environment required
  • Openness to Agile methodologies preferred
  • Basic understanding of project management processes
  • Strong analytical and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Past investigator internship experience within the past year
  • Experience solving business problems in a capstone or case competition
  • Experience working in a culture that is open, direct, respectful, and empathetic
