Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Virtual Assistant to join our team in US healthcare customer service. As a full-time remote virtual assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless communication between healthcare providers, patients, and our organization. If you're a detail-oriented, tech-savvy individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for physicians, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure medical record compliance by self-documentation attestation, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Update patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient records, utilizing electronic health records (EHRs) and other software applications.
  • Prepare and send all documentation to physicians for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures.
  • Monitor the duration of basic lab results and screening procedures, ensuring timely follow-up and communication with healthcare providers.
  • Comply with hospital and medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA and Joint Commission, maintaining confidentiality and data security.
  • Perform other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow, as assigned by management.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, medical records, or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in medical records, customer service, or a related field; experience in US healthcare industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHRs) and other software applications; experience with medical terminology and coding preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in medical records, healthcare administration, or a related field (e.g., RHIA, RHRA, or CMA).
  • Experience with HIPAA and Joint Commission regulations.
  • Familiarity with healthcare operations, including clinical workflows and medical terminology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to resolve complex issues.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

  • Full-time schedule: 8 hours/day, 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday.
