We're now seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our remote team, contributing to the development of our core backend systems that directly impact our API platform, messaging, personalization, join, organization, payments, and billing systems.

About the Role

As a Software Engineer in our distributed systems team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the complex systems that power our global entertainment platform. You'll work on large-scale backend systems, applying your software development skills to solve complex problems with real-world impact. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping the future of our service, ensuring it remains highly available, scalable, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions for our distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and drive features or components throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Work independently to drive projects forward, from conception to deployment, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Participate in the development, debugging, testing, and operation of APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-based services.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, focusing on high-impact activities that drive significant results.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal forms, ensuring seamless collaboration with team members.
  • Contribute to the improvement of our engineering practices, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles. We're looking for individuals with a passion for crafting efficient, effective, and testable code.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, testing, and version control.
  • Experience with distributed systems, cloud-based services, and APIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools, ensuring high availability and performance.
