About the Role

As a key member of our Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) team, you will play a critical role in developing virtual platforms for testing and verifying solutions through simulations and emulations. Your expertise will enable us to drive high-quality product delivery, synchronize virtual and physical tests, and ensure that our solutions meet the requirements of our internal customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, QA manual testing, and operations, to deliver robust products that integrate seamlessly into our fulfillment network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and execute virtual system test plans (simulations) to validate system-level requirements and ensure integrated system performance across all sub-components.
  • Virtually validate end-to-end solutions using real-life software to ensure products meet required specifications for quality, function, operation, reliability, maintenance, training & learning, deployment, process- and MHE- integration, service, and support.
  • Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products, communicating these to the product team, including hardware, software, controls, and materials development teams.
  • Coordinate simulations and testing processes, analyzing issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, and recommending solutions to these issues.
  • Connect with internal customers, reviewing client, customer, and user feedback to ensure that our solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree (BS) in a relevant field, such as engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of proven experience working with large cross-functional engineering teams, with expertise in modeling, simulation, testing, integration, and/or quality assurance.
  • Proven experience in fulfillment systems, including storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation systems, and related automation equipment.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% to business locations and project sites, as required.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics and high-speed manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with team members, operations, and management effectively.
  • Project management skills, with experience in starting and finishing projects successfully.

  • A base salary range of $116,300/year to $201,200/year, depending on location and experience.
